Season 14 of “The Voice” begins its Top 12 live shows on Monday, April 23 when a dozen artists take to the stage and sing for America’s votes. Six-time champ Blake Shelton is coaching three of those hopefuls. Two of them — Pryor Baird and Kyla Jade— won the public vote. Shelton chose the third, Spensha Baker, from his four remaining contestants in the Top 24. That decision meant the elimination of Gary Edwards, Austin Giorgio and Wilkes.
We asked you which of these three artists that didn’t make the grade with Shelton was the most deserving to move on to the live shows. The overwhelming choice was Wilkes who garnered a whopping 82% of your votes. Giorgio netted 11% while Edwards managed just 7%.

On last winter’s season 13 of “The Voice,” coach Blake Shelton got to pick all three of the artists to take to the Top 12. One of those, Chloe Kohanski, became his sixth winner. On this current season 14, America got to decide two of his team while he was limited to choosing just one. Each of his four remaining artists had their strengths. In the end, he opted for Spensha Baker over Gary Edwards, Austin Giorgio and Wilkes.

Blake Shelton has been with the “The Voice” since it began in 2011 and has won six of the previous 13 seasons. He is the reigning champ, having coached Chloe Kohanksi to victory last fall. However, he may have a hard time winning for a lucky seventh time in season 14 with the return of Alicia Keys and the addition of Kelly Clarkson to the coaching panel. Our readers say that both those women have stronger teams heading into the live round, which kicks off April 16 with all artists in the Top 24 performing.
As with the other three coaches, Shelton had to cut his team of eight down to five during the knockout round that just ended. In addition, he added one more artists to his team when their original coach went with another singer in their knockout.

Blake Shelton is hoping to go seven for 14 as a coach on “The Voice.” He has been a mentor on all 13 previous seasons of the show and has won a whopping six times to date: Jermaine Paul (season 2), Cassadee Pope (season 3), Danielle Bradbery (season 4), Craig Wayne Boyd (Season 7), Sundance Head (season 11) and Chloe Kohanski (season 13). Is winner number seven among the six artists that Shelton is bringing to the live shows that kick off on April 16?

While Adam Levine has been with the “The Voice” since it began in 2011, he has won only three of the previous 13 seasons (his long-time rival, Blake Shelton has six victories). According to our readers, that elusive fourth win is likely to elude Levine in the current season 14. They think that he and Shelton have far weaker teams than returning coach Alicia Keys and rookie Kelly Clarkson heading into the knockout round, which kicks off on April 2.
Levine’s eight artists earned a combined 13 chair turns during the blind auditions. He chose six of these during the blind auditions while the other two were steals from coaches who went with the competing artists in the battle round.
Levine paired up his original dozen artists against each other in six battles. The winners of these match-ups — Mia Boostrom, Drew Cole, Gary Edwards, Rayshun Lamarr, Reid Umstattd and Jackie Verna — move on to the knockout round.
