In 1968, commercials director George A. Romero released his groundbreaking first feature film, Night of the Living Dead. Five Dead movies and over four decades later, it’s undeniable that Romero’s body of work has left an indelible mark on the horror genre. At the very least, you’ve undoubtedly watched something influenced by Romero and you can meet the legend himself at Indianapolis’ Culture Shock con next month.
Taking place at Wyndham Indianapolis West hotel in Indianapolis, Indiana, from February 27th – March 1st, Culture Shock will feature a rare convention appearance from George A. Romero. In addition to the Godfather of Zombies, horror hounds can also look forward to seeing Malcolm McDowell, “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, and a reunion of Romero’s Dawn of the Dead cast members David Emge, Ken Foree, Scott Reiniger and Gaylen Ross.
Tickets are $30 apiece for Friday, $35 for Saturday, and $30 for Sunday, with a $70 all-weekend pass also available.
