Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet in Titanic (1997)
Even if they couldn't find a way, it is unforgivable that Rose never even tried to save her lover.
Titanic fanatics' passion for the film is never more on display than when discussing the film's climatic ending: when Jack sacrifices himself to save Rose, by letting her stay afloat on a door alone, while he remained sunken in the waters of the North Atlantic, until he froze to death.
For years, some Titanic fans have argued it was possible that both could have survived, if only they both had used the door more equally, that Rose could have done more to save Jack, or that Jack's sacrifice was ultimately necessary.
It is time to settle this once and for all: in your opinion, could Rose have saved Jack in Titanic?
