This is one of David Lean's great movies, although I recognize that not all agree. It is paced to carry it's plot forward gracefully, consistent with the time period. Those who want fast-paced, clipped movies might look elsewhere, but those who want to see cinematography, writing, editing, and acting come together to create a masterful whole should not miss this movie.
