With the success of "Summertime Killer" (some facts list made before), Golden Harvest cast Chris Mitchum and Olivia Hussey (both badly dubbed) in a action packed film about a bomb stolen by Hussey's dad, & a communist group and a group called FUJI headed by a bald guy. Mitchum plays Hussey's ex-boyfriend/CIA agent who has to stop them before they hold the world hostage.
The villian seems to be sort of Japanese as they are called Fuji (most Hong Kong films has japanese villian overtones), but the dubbing does say they are Japanese. The film received a wide release in Japan (must got excellent sales over there), so maybe the Anti-Japanese stuff was tone down for the outside HK release. Some of the director's previous film did use Japanese as villians, so maybe it's got a diffrent plot in HK. Some good stunt, but some cheezy effect also., and alot of double cross which is a trademark for most Chalong films. it's also hard to buy Hussey as a oriental either. Mitchum who has a distinct voice is dubbed by a british oriental voice that is used in most Kung-fu films. The end credit song is a highlight. For a film with two non-asian leads and a American theme song, it received no US theatrical release to my knowlege. Recommended.
