Spoiler Alert i've seen this movie and can say it's the best melodrama true story i've yet to see. if any one knows where i can get a copy of it please tell me i would be in your debit for ever. this story of a woman and her family in the yukon will stir your heart. it starts in the wilderness as a young family tiries to make a homestead in the yukhon, but the father always has gold fever. one day he takes off to the far north an never returns. the wife is desperate and tries her best to make a home through th harsh winter. she and the 2 girls shoot a moose for food which is a heartbreaking experience for the youngester. a local man from town befriends her after they are sure the husband will never return , and eventually get married. she has another child which dies of a rare deseace and they eventualy move out to the big city ,where life is easier.
