Review of Fandango

Fandango (1985)
Soundtrack and Costner stand out
19 December 2003
Soundtrack and Costner stand out Great film about post-sixties uncertainty, set in Texas. Clapton's "Badge" is the first song in the movie, which is perfect, but Metheny's magical material throughout the film really scores big. It's about college, growing up, friends, fun, crazyness, Vietnam, rock and roll. But the boys must now be men and leave in separate pathways, perhaps forever. A magical, wonderful movie, about a simpler time. Highly recommended.
