I know I shouldn't expect much from this movie because it's just another 80s high school flick. But it promises so much that it doesn't deliver on, it's just disappointing. I like Jon Cryer - I especially liked him in the short-lived TV series The Famous Teddy Z - but there's something askew about him in this movie, like he's doing a different character from what the script calls for. It shouldn't have been another 80s HS flick, but I'm afraid that it's played that way all the way through. Still, it's fun in a superficial kind of way. And Annabeth Gish looks pretty good, too.
