The Crow (1994)
Love, Revenge,Redemption...

Warning: Spoilers
This is by far one of the greatest films of all time. The set design was fantastic to the last detail. The costume design was superb, the cinematography was excellent, and the acting ranged from good to great. As for the story...A man coming back from the dead to avenge he and his wife's murder at the hands of a ruthless street gang...it isn't what it first appears to be. Brandon Lee's character is not some machine gun toting, mindless zombie, but a confused man who at first dosen't even realise what happened to him. You watch as his development into the ultimate dark hero unfolds before your eyes. This film has a very dark atmosphere, which is accented by the hero, who is just as dark as the world he inhabits. Dark, yes, but evil Brandon Lee's character certaintly is not.(spoiler ahead) Other then avenging his lovers's murder,The Crow also helps a little girl and her heroine addicted mother, which gives a back drop for one of the greatest lines in film history. ( Brandon Lee holds the little girl's mother who has been neglecting her, as he uses some magick to make her body reject the morphine she had just injected, and he says 'look at yourself, your're a mother..."MOTHER MEANS GOD OUT OF THE MOUTHS OF CHILDREN'"

This is more of a love story for men, who, unlike women, a more affected by the duty and honor part of being in love, where as women seem to care only for childish "romance" stuff ( Titanic). I think men more so then women would understand this timeless story of revenge in the name of the one you would ( and in this case, did) die for.
