After the triumph with "Clerks" Kevin try to make his NJ saga continue with the magabudget(8 m. I think..)"Mallrats" and the result is.....Just adequate. Plotless and unnessessary situation make this film not up to classic like his other work (eg. Chasing amy). But Kevin is still Kevin, he provides some very funny lines and gags for making up story weakness. So, if you really like Kevin's stuff I suggest you to have this flick, other beware.
