Tim Burton, Mark Wahlberg, Tim Roth - could it be that bad?? Yes!! Its that bad and worse. Don't waste your time or your money. I did not expect much but thought I would at least be somewhat entertained. I was wrong. This movie is boring and stupid. The same things seemed to be happening repeatedly and pointlessly. Roth's was the only part that had any kind of emotion or character. On the surface there should have been tension in the plot but none whatsoever was conveyed. The dullness of the characters and even the so-called action scenes, was astounding. There is no mystery about the ending of the film and it would be another waste of time to try to decipher one. I suppose it would have been an even worse film if there had been no "surprise" at the conclusion - but I'm not so sure. I think the end just added another note of idiocy. Its difficult to understand why any critic would ever recommend this film.
