The summary probably doesn't mean much to our American breathern but it is a very English film, it has a dark humour and many many references that set the scene but can past un-noticed otherwise (Showing what a sad life he leads we see he has a Ladybird book of the Sea).
The film is quite funny, not in an hilarious way but it does have its moments (When she presents him with his discovered porn stash), I can't say I found it particularly tense and it did drag a tad about 3 quarters a way through.
There's also quite a bit of sex (not graphically so) but enough for a couple to leave the not very packed cinema.
Overall a better than average film and one I'll probably get on DVD when it comes out.
