Moulin Rouge! (2001)
A change in the drone media
19 October 2001
There are many who complained about the Moulin Rouge having no original score. Well my friends, the reason BAZ used pop culture tunes was to tell a story. Why is anyone scorned so much for telling a story in a different matter. This movie delivered exactly what it set out to do, a completely different way of telling a story with superior visuals. No acting some say? Where was there time during the movie for truly deep acting? The characters were exactly what they were supposed to be. No plot? It seemed straight forward to me. Poet falls in love with the star of the Moulin Rouge, she is loved by another man, she is torn between the show and love ect. I guess if it does not have explosions, teen stars, and tons of sex it isnt worth the american viewing audience. If you want a movie that is void of acting and class watch Planet of the Apes or the Final Fantasy movie.
