Final Fantasy VII (1997 Video Game)
9/10
A Technological Tale of War, Peace, Hate, Love and Revenge
13 February 2000
Amazing. Even in the face of newer, flashier games, this one holds its own through it's endearing characters, excellent plot, and strategic battles. In order avoid spoiling any part of the wonderfully crafted storyline, all I'll say is, you're a mercenary named Cloud. (or whatever name you decide give him at the beginning of the game) Your current job is with a rebel group named Avalanche and your mission is to sabotage a power plant. All the rest of plot rapidly expands from there. Likable characters, interesting plot, strategic battles, and lots of X-Files-esque secrets equals a story told better than a few of Hollywood's recent attempts. P.S - Final Fantasy VII was just made a "Best Selling Classic". This means it's only about twenty bucks nationwide. You should pick it up if you haven't already. You'll thank yourself when you do.
