Review of Pocahontas

Pocahontas (1996 Video Game)
If this is the Pocahontas I'm thinking off, then run away!

Now, I may not be writing about the Pocahontas that this IMDb site is talking about, but it seems to be right. Video release, 1997...it all rings of the movie I saw when I was a kid. Now, this isn't Disney by any means. The animation for this thing was awful, and could compete with Rudolph: The Movie in sheer blandness. Also, there were way too many sidekicks. If I can bring up the bad memories, Pocahontas sported some serious bald eagle, an annoying yellow bird who was clumsy and had other wacky traits, and a talking canoe. Maybe you didn't see that the first time. THIS THING HAS A TALKING CANOE IN IT. Do I really have to say anything else? Oh wait, yes I do.

There is an animation company out there that likes to make really bad clones of Disney animated films. They don't even wait a while before they release them, either. I know for a fact that when Mulan came out, a cheap version from this company showed up weeks later. There's also a Hercules knock-off, one for The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and even one for the recent Atlantis (!). This infuriates me to no end. I intend to find out about this company, who brought us our feature presentation, and give them a piece of my mind.

Oh, and in case you were wondering, this Pocahontas is just awful. Don't buy this at a garage sale or from a bargain bin. Trust me.
