This was a pretty interesting early 1970's show. This pretty much was released just as the live action version of "Lassie" was about to go off the air. This pretty much came in the era when violence was pretty much eliminated from cartoons. However, this one was pretty action packed as Lassie and her owners, the Turners and their friend Gene Fox as well as Lassie's animal pals would work from their home base in the forest rescuing various people from danger or they also would go to various locations around the country and use their unique skills. This was a pretty good show, despite the fact that it was cheaply done (Filmation pretty much was a second rate operation compared to Hanna Barbera or DePaite-Frieling), but it still was one of those shows that the kids really enjoyed.
