I'm from a generation that listens to his music, but knows little about him. I didn't know most of the things the story told. For example, Hendrix was in the service, played his guitar on the wrong hand because his father bought him a right handed guitar, and the fact that he upstaged The Who in concert. I just wish I could have lived and seen some of his performances in real life.
