I rented this movie after a hard day's work, and was expecting a serious drama, but I found this movie just so depressing. There are no moments of levity or humor in it, which I do think is a part of life. No question about it being well-acted - I even thought Sean Comb's portrayal of of a man about to be executed was very, very good. It certainly is brave in it's look at racial issues and has unadulterated honest performances from everyone. Strong character portrayls from everyone that are hard to forget very soon, but just NOT enjoyable, and I even expect that from dramas.
