An off-the-wall short film
3 February 2002
I have only seen this film once, it was shown on UK TV in the early eighties as part of a Zero Mostel season. Zero is playing a female opera singer in Wagner's opera and is late getting to the theatre. An off-the-wall film about his exploits trying to travel across the city in full theatrical dress. As a Zero fan I loved it but would relish the chance to view it again, maybe my tastes have changed but I'm sure it will stand out as an excellent view alongside all of Mostel's other offerings, the man was a genius. It is only a short film which I rate alongside other gems such as 'Simon, Simon', 'Rhubarb' and 'The Plank'. I have been unable to find it on DVD or even on VHS but I will continue looking.
