I found this movie to be extremely powerful. The character development is what makes this movie so profound, as the viewer watches a family slowly knit together around the central character, who goes through a catharsis of his own.
Each person, in turn, must relinquish a portion of his or her preferences to support the family as a whole. The portrayals are wonderfully subtle: much of this story is told through the sly glances, the cautious stares and the vulnerable looks exchanged between the characters.
