Shatner enters the realm of self satire
14 September 2002
I always thought that has-been actors becoming late night movie hosts was a n unfair stereotype. I was wrong. It's wierd and goofy and slightly embarrasing. Shatner's witty reparte with a mute puppet is strained but a worthy effort. It might be improved by the addition of a talking foil for Shatner to play off of but then he still doesn't have Elvira's rack to stick in when least expected.
