Just saw this at a festival. Beautiful cinematography,
kinda reminded me of "I Am Cuba". The story was strange- a writer, a call-girl, something about Cuba,
voodoo and pimps. The girl didn't speak English and the guy didn't speak Spanish. Very cool music- think
tribal lounge from the fifties. Confusing but totally
compelling and I want to see it again just to figure it out.
There was a lot of references that I didn't get. The acting
was definitely in that noir world of stilted performance
and stone-faced stoicism. Where can I get a copy of this?
