OK, so this is a stupidly made movie, by no means a film. Simple plot and superhuman feats of awesomeness by Jean Reno, (spinning his Mag 80 like five thousand times in three seconds, perfectly striking two golf balls baseball-style so they hit yakuza henchmen square in the foreheads) make the movie seem kind of pedestrian, but who cares? It made me laugh and the end made me cry. The director accomplished what he wanted to.
My advice to potential viewers, accept this movie for what it is. It will not provide you with any wide-reaching social comment or anything like that, but you'll get a few laughs.
