This movie is about the same as Napoleon Dynamite. Correction - it's worse because Napoleon has some "interesting" lines, but this, this is ridiculous. The guy who played cotton was 26 flippen years old, when in the book he's supposed to be 16. The music isn't too bad (considering that it was written in 1971) but it's played over and over again. By the end of the movie I was sick of it (as was my entire English class, seeing as we watched this in school). OH I almost forgot the best part! The night scenes look like day scenes! Why? That's because they were. I understand that the actual film they used was crappy and not as good as the stuff we have today. But give me a break, there's shadows about seven feet long in some of the night scenes! I would never ever watch this movie again, unless they did a remake of it with characters who are believable, better music, and it stayed closer to the book.
