Oh man!!! I thought I was the Only One ....
20 June 2006
Warning: Spoilers
I vaguely remember watching this 'attrocity' when it first aired that one and only time on syndication. I never did figure out why they (the people in charge) canceled the original 'He-Man' series, bring about the awful 'She-Ra: Princess of Power' spin-off; and later sell-the rights to the character to some other animation studio to re-imagined it in a really bas and distasteful way. ***** POSSIBLE SPOILERS ****** I do remember, or thought at the time ... that 'Eternia' was sort of depicted as an ancient barbaric times set in an Earth-like past. Later, 'He-Man' is sent on a mission to aid someone - to whom I thought was in the same planet - but in the future. This new version (incarnation) of 'He-Man' had non of the original 'Conan' barbaric bravaso to him. Nor any of the spunk from the future re-imagining in 2002. I'd be really, really surprised if this ever surfaces as a BONUS in some future DVD-Collection of The Best from the Classic 'He-Man'(1983), or its' re-imagining 'New Beginning'(2002) incarnation.
