This Is Daniel Cook (2004–2006)

Warning: Spoilers
This poor kid is being made to be a spoiled brat by his rich parents. He's encouraged to think that in his stupider moments he's brilliant, and that whatever he says without emotion will be accepted as sincere. At the end of every show, he says, "Thank you so much, _____, for teaching me about ______. I had sooo much fun." But he says it in a very flat voice, disinterested and bored, and the exact same formula every time. But they end up saying, "Aw, thanks, Dan, that means a lot!" And so he is taught to think that he is some sort of benevolent god whatever he says. Furthermore, he often disregards the lessons and crafts that the people are trying to teach him to replace them with his own "hilarious" agenda - for example, in one episode, a teacher is trying to teach him how to dance.

"Now, Daniel, we're going to learn how to dance with a partner," says the teacher. Daniel turns around and stares at the lightboard. "I AM HYPNOTIZED," he says. "Yes, well, Daniel..." the teacher struggles, confounded. "ALL HAIL THE LIGHTS!" he continues idiotically.

This show makes me writhe in pain when I watch it. It's going to ruin the poor kid's life when he's older.
