Pocahontas (1996 Video Game)
5/10
Good movie, despite splay of truth

Warning: Spoilers
Although Disney's Pocahontas has been blow to shreds by negative critics, it really has some awesome parts. They scream and whine about how it isn't the real story of Pocahontas. No one knows the real story. Pocahontas's love of John Smith has been stretched, of course, but this film isn't meant to provide a documentary of Pocahontas. She wasn't that pretty in real life either, but no one seems to care about that. Pocahontas is meant to get children interested in the time period, and bring into questions such issues as arranged marriages, violence and war, and love. It is captivating. It even manages to sneak the native languages in here and there, and gives an insight into how her people loved the river and believed in many spirits that lived in all pieces of the earth. It's a great conversation piece, and a well known movie to provide entertainment for many generations to come.
