I agree with the poster who grew up in Alaska. I only visited and they have eagles, lots of salmon(the fishing scene was real) but also have a very high Native American and Eskimo population of different tribes . These people are everywhere and yet this cast is Caucasian with one black and one actress from India.My suggestion to improve is for the writers and casting people to go to Alaska and get some real Alaskan actors or actresses to fill in the gaps.never saw a raccoon or skunk.
Ann Heche is good in the role. I'm just not sure there are enough scenarios to keep this show going.I don't know where it can go from here.Then they made the actress from India play the role of a prostitute.That is not very flattering if she is supposed to be the "native" Alaskan.
