Really, A Very Good Film
23 December 2006
This really is a very good movie. I found it to be smart, funny, even touching. The performances were all especially good. Topher Grace proves himself a fine actor and a promising newcomer to Hollywood. Dennis Quaid is good, as always. Even Scarlett Johannsenn, who can often border on cheap acting gave her role a lot of depth.

There are those who say it has no plot, but that's also a very wrong claim. The film focuses a lot on relationships, so if you like that, you'll definitely like this movie. It shows the changing opinions and thoughts Dan has of everyone in his life: his new boss, his daughter, his coworkers. This is all done through a smart and witty script, and superb cinematography. The shots alone in this film make it worth seeing.

So, it's an emotional, relationship charged film. In my opinion, it paints an excellent portrait of how human's react and how our minds work in situations of stress and newness. I recommend this film greatly. 7/10 stars!
