Seventeen and Missing (2007 TV Movie)
not for me
5 February 2007
This 2006 LMN TV movie once more glorifies the woman and weakens the male population. However, in this chestnut, I was hoping the mother, played annoyingly by Dedee Pfeiffer, would be the one locked up in the basement and for good. She got on my nerves. Going around breaking into people's homes, causing the death of a young man and screaming at her children. Her daughter, played well by Tegan Moss, had every right to get away from this controlling witch. The husband, played by Matthew Harrison, bullied by his over reacting wife, was also a victim. It seems everyone in this film was a victim of this obsessive woman that we're supposed to feel empathy for her? Not me. I wanted someone to come around and lock her up. A wasted evening of TV watching and a bad performance by Feiffer, put this viewer to sleep. Snorrrrrreeee!
