Review of Chaos

Chaos (I) (2005)
1/10
Absolutely awful
8 March 2007
The only thing at all redeeming about this movie is genre vet Kevin Gage's performance as the title character. Otherwise, this exploitation film has little to nothing going for it. It is, indeed, a modern update of "Last House on the Left" (complete with 'raves' and cellular phones), regardless of what the filmmakers have claimed. If you find yourself in the possession of this DVD, skip the movie and watch the special feature where the director (who looks, talks, and acts like a professional wrestler?) is interviewed (shirtless?) in the LA morgue. It's unintentional comedy gold. I could care less what Ebert has to say about this movie, but the filmmakers' rebuttal in the special features, where they claim that the film is a cautionary tale to young women, is laughable.
