Saw the preview today (24 March 2007) in S Wales. I can only hope it's not the final version.
I really wanted to laugh, but couldn't. The plot was thinner than a watered down bowl of minestrone soup. The cinema was shrouded with silence when there should have been howls of laughter. They even cut the scene from the trailer where Bean spills his coffee over a laptop whilst on the train (my disappointed 7 year old daughter spotted that). My 3 year old son fell asleep half way through.
The only highlights for were the moped-jacking, the market dancing/opera sketch and Antoine de Caunes' daughter.
Why did they postpone the US release until September?
This will be out on DVD faster than a dodgy oyster can work its way through your digestive system.
Unfortunately it follows the old adage - Good trailer, Sh*te film.
