Entertaining but predictable.

If you've seen a lot of movies, crime or con movies in particular, you won't be surprised when you watch Matchstick Men directed by Ridley Scott. Though it is predictable, it still is entertaining and well made movie, that fits in well among the stories of its genre.

Roy (Nicolas Cage) and Frank (Sam Rockwell) are two con men, who of course con money from people. Roy agrees to do a last big con with Frank, but soon his life gets more complicated, as if his neuroses weren't enough, when he finds out, that he has a 14-years old daughter Angela (Allison Lohman), who want's be a part of his life.

Matchsticke Men is well directed movie and acted movie, which saves a lot. As I said, there's not much of originality in the plot, but it does hold together rather well. And it even has a happy ending, which was quite nice, as Roy actually is quite a likable character.
