Even though it was totally unrealistic ending with everyone having great fortune at one time, you couldn't help but feel good. Everyone was getting out of the ghetto. JJ landed a comic book deal. Thelma's husband became a running back with the Chicago Bears. Willona became the head buyer for the boutique. A lot of the shows in this series were depressing and hit home with social issues, but this show was aptly named and will always stay in my memories as one of the best endings to a great sitcom series. I always appreciated how the family was always jabbing each other with great insults, but when the going got tough, they always stuck together.
