Cute underdog tale

Warning: Spoilers
THREE O'CLOCK HIGH is not bad for an 80s movie. Not the best, but certainly funny and watchable.

Casey Siemaszko (did I spell it right this time???!!!) plays a slightly nerdy but inexplicably kind of sexy high school kid named Jerry Mitchell who is a member of the journalism team and manager of the student store. A straight arrow, as high schoolers go.

But the day Buddy Revell (Richard Tyson) transfers to Mitchell's school, all hell breaks loose. To put it simply, Revell's reputation precedes him. To put it lightly, the guy is mentally disturbed. The fact that he is "big for his age" makes it all the more horrifying.

Jerry Mitchell tries so many times and in so many ways to get out of the predicament he landed in, but in the end, he has to face the music.

The movie has some violence and of course some profanity (an 80s staple) but it is an entertaining look at one nice guy who finished first.

I'll give it a B.
