I am 15 and I have to say I love this show! It is about 3 teenage girls: Rikki, Cleo and Emma who, when accidentally stumbling across the mysterious Maego Island, find they now develop tails every time they come in contact with water! Not only that but they have special powers to do with the water: Rikki can boil water, Cleo can manipulate water and Emma can freeze it. When their slightly geeky friend, Lewis, discovers their powers at a pool party he helps the girls hide their secret from their family, friends and enemies in the form of stuck up rich girl Miriam and bad boy Zane whilst also helping to work out how and why they got their powers. Some of the acting could use some brushing up (Cleo's little sister Kim has an annoying way of delivering her lines) but the three main girls are brilliant, especially Rikki (Cariba Heine) who comes out with the best lines in the series and is the best new talent in Australia. The directing is really good and the underwater scenes are so cool especially the tails! All those who say that this show is just for the younger generation are wrong: the show tackles the teenage problems of boys, parties and fitting in. Those who say it's childish are just hiding the fact that they love it! If you are a fan of The Little Mermaid or maybe the lesser brilliant version of it, Aquamarine, then watch this series!
