Warning: Spoilers
In 1986 Japan made a sequel to Super Mario Bros. but it was never released anywhere else so in 1988 they made a different Mario game and released in other countries and called it Super Mario Bros. 2, the game play is very different to the other Mario Brothers games but that isn't a problem because it's still very good.

The differences in Super Mario Bros. 2 are:

1. You can't jump on bad guys heads to beat them instead you have to throw things like Turnips at them or pick a bad guy up and throw them at another bad guy.

2. Their isn't any power up's like the Fire Flower.

3. Coins you collect after entering the secret door are used for the bonus slot machine you use after completing each level.

4. Red Mushrooms are found in the secret world and add a extra health point.

5. Their isn't a time limit for completing the levels.

6. You have four characters to choose from: Mario, Luigi, Toad and Peach, each characters have their own skills and weaknesses.

Super Mario Bros. 2 is a fun platform game that has the Mario charm that the other games have. Check this out. 10/10

The Japan Super Mario Bros 2. was released on the SNES game Super Mario All Stars under the title of Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels.
