Beautiful is the way they shot this movie

First of all I'm not a huge fan of Polish cinematography. I consider its good days long gone perhaps with Krzysztof Kieślowski's death. I didn't expect too much buying "Kochankowie z Marony/The Lovers of Marona" DVD. It tells us a little about life of Polish writer and poet Jarosław Iwaszkiewicz. The screenplay's based on Iwaszkiewicz's autobiographic story named likewise ("Kochankowie z Werony"). It focuses on main character's (Janek's) close relationship with a woman named Ola and a man named Arek. It takes place in a small village called Marona which is situated by the beautiful lake. The landscapes that were filmed can truly take one's breath away... I was astonished by the way the camera-man shot this picture... It was magnificent in its aestheticism. That's the main advantage of this movie. Although many of you may consider it rather boring as there isn't much action, I strongly recommend it to people that seek something more in movies.
