I love mock the week. It is so refreshingly different. I love the fact that the panelist are not stuck behind the desk for the whole show. This makes it better than shows like Have I Got News for you.
My favourite bit is the round called ''newsreel'' where Hugh Dennis describes the action of a piece of news footage. What he says is obviously made up and is absolutely hilarious.
The round at the end called ''scenes we'd like to see'' is also very funny. It certainly seems improvised, having seen people like Andy Parsons at the comedy store I know they do have great improvisational skills.
I like the fact it has 4 resident panellists. You get a bit of variation with the 5th and 6th panelist, but you also have familiarity so know what you're getting.
Dara o'briain is superb as the host, funny yet he never takes over.
