Review of The Contract

First, let me say that I'm a big fan of both of these actors. Midway through, I felt as if I was watching an average 'made for TV' movie. It wasn't that bad....at least not yet. As the film went on...it got much worse. Some scenes were so terrible that they actually made me laugh...they were 'suspense scenes' folks. Here is a brief synopsis of some of the 'worst moments' of the film; First, was when a helicopter full of bad guys is shot down.....the entire tail rudder falls off and the chopper plummets through the trees crashing at a high rate of speed.....there is no explosion....it was a magic chopper...a chopper impenetrable...a bulletproof armored chopper(quite the opposite actually)....a model chopper(and Yes you could notice it was a model!)....not only did the chopper survive the violent 'crash'....but so did the bad guys.....as a matter of fact....they hopped out of the chopper in less than 2 seconds....unscathed..like they had just hopped out of the cash cab...after winning....I suppose they were 'magic' bad guys. Another terrible moment is when the bad guys pull up a website with the State Park where all this hootenanny is taking place....the website cycles through some pictures of the park.....upon seeing a picture of a cabin the bad guys come to the following 'unjustified' conclusions......none of which makes any sense whatsoever......1.the good guys must be in that cabin they just showed:)(this was a mystery science theater moment-absolutely terrible!)....2.the cabin lays in a 'Dead end' section of the park(how they would know this from a website pic is beyond me).....and 3.the cabin happens to be only a couple hundred yards away(whoopee!). THese were not the only instances of terrible production/direction....the interaction between the two stars just doesn't make sense....you'll see what I'm talking about.....and the other glaring problem was with the 'one-liners' used by our 'immortal' bad guys.....the lines are terrible....this movie is terrible. I give it 3 stars for me making it through the whole thing...and because the last 20min isn't as bad as the first hour and a half. Avoid this one! 29/100
