I can honestly say that this film was very different than any other film that I have ever seen. It really displays how a person's spirit is stronger than the world of things. I believe this movie shows how just because customs and beliefs change just as they always have throughout history doesn't mean a person's inner spirit does. in seeing this one man's personal journey you can truly connect to how he feels through different circumstances and you begin to wonder how anybody can truly feel that is okay to force someone else's beliefs on someone. In seeing his personal anguish you begin to think about your own personal beliefs and how you come across to the world around you and the people you touch. I think this is what the director was trying to convey and I think he was a success. I look forward to seeing more films by him.
