Not as bad as others say....... (in my opinion)

Warning: Spoilers
I was skeptical about seeing this movie at first. There were so many horrible reviews on here about it. But I can honestly say that I am glad that I finally rented "The Heartbreak Kid". I find this film to be funny and entertaining. Definitely not a deep movie, or anything that you are going to take some life lesson from. But it is a good, mindless escape. Something that at the end of a bad day of work, you can relax and have a few laughs. This is not Stillers best movie, and definitely not the best comedy. But it is not horrible.

It starts off with Eddie (Stiller) who is afraid of serious commitment. He has gone through half his life never getting too serious with a woman because he starts picking out all of their flaws. Then finally after watching his ex-girlfriend (of 5 years) get married to another man,...... and constant presure from his dad and best friend....... he decides to get serious. He meets a beautiful blonde who seems perfect. And after 6 weeks of dating he finds out that she has to move away for her "job". He decides to marry her so that she wont have to move. As soon as the wedding is over, on the way to their honeymoon destination, things start to change. His wife who has not had sex with him yet (because she didn't want to ruin the relationship), ends up being a sexual freak. As the film goes on, more and more of her flaws show. Things come out about her, that Stiller never knew......... (she doesn't really have a job; did drugs; etc). And you feel sorry for Stiller cause his new wife is crazy!!!

The film goes on, and on the honeymoon, Stiller meets another woman who he really connects with. Then the movie focuses on Stiller trying to get close to this new Woman and get away from his wife.

The negatives of the movie are.......... as the film goes on Stiller goes from being a good guy who got himself in a bad situation,.... to a deceptive jerk. Also, the first half of the movie was funnier than the last half. And the ending wasn't that good. Kind of took it over the top at the end.

One of the funniest parts, is when Stiller has to make it back into the US from Mexico.
