While it's not my favorite show out there it is quickly becoming one of the must see on my list. The story may be an old one but then again there are only thirty-six basic plots and how you twist and mesh them is how you tell if something is great.
We have the possibility for a love triangle. Those are getting really old, but since this is a new series and we have no idea who these people are, it works.
We have an immortal who wants to die, as some others have said, very Highlander. But since there isn't anyone running around with swords chopping heads off. And also he can have children. I don't think it resembles that to much.
And a cop show. Nuf said.
Now lets look at every other show out there. Do we like cop shows? Hhmmmm. Let's see we have three CSI's, three Law & Order's, Criminal Minds, NCIS, Without a Trace, Cold Case... Yeah, I think that we like crime shows. Immortals? Not to many shows out there with Immortals... so kudos to them. Love triangles? I don't like them personally but as I said before. This is a new show with new people, I'll deal. And besides they haven't even gone into the love triangle so I'll live.
I hope that this show gets a good run. Maybe five seasons, anymore than that and it might get tired. But this is an amazing show and I hope I've said as much. Give the show a try, it's magic.
