Turner Classic Movies documentary has host Robert Osbourne sitting down with the legend Charlton Heston for a hour chat about his movies and life. If you're a fan of Heston then you should enjoy this interview, which mainly focuses on his movies, although the final ten minutes deal with political stuff. I would have preferred the entire thing to focus on the movies since there are some well known titles that get overlooked (like The Omega Man) but overall this is a very entertaining documentary. Heston offers his opinions on countless films including Ben-Hur and Planet of the Apes and he even discusses why he wasn't in any of the sequels. Heston also offers his views on Cecil B. DeMille, Laurence Olivier and Orson Welles. He also talks about why there can't be epic films anymore. All in all Heston comes off very intelligent and his ability to quote various books is quite impressive. Heston makes a few comments that will make your eyebrows go up but that's just him.
