I'm not really addicted to anime at first. One of my friends is SO addicted to "The Prince of Tennis" or PoT and every time we chat with each other, she always tell me how good it is though she never told me what it is about because I'm really uninterested. I can't believe I handled it for a year but there was one time that we were on our trip to our home, we were really bored and I finally asked her to tell me some of the best moments in PoT and that's what she did. I was really interested and asked if I can borrow her DVD so she let me.
After that, I watched it 5 days straight and repeated it again until I realized I've already watched it 4 times CONSECUTIVELY. I was really addicted to the anime to the point that I watched all of it's replays in TV. I watched all the OVAs, live action movies and the animated movies. After one year, I still can't get over it and watched it again.
Don't get me wrong, I DON'T play tennis but I loved the show so if you're a tennis-lover then you'll love it even more! Even the matches are interesting. The characters each have their own charisma and uniqueness and after a while, you will realize that you're already attached to this GREAT anime.
At first, you will think that this is just about with the tournaments,, matches and stuffs but actually, there is a twist in the end that is somewhat related to the past of Echizen. Friendship is also valued in PoT.
