Six Man and Texas... what a moving combination... this film invites you in, to the heart and soul of small town Texas. The cameras move from personal interview to action on the field... often with the sensibility of my favorite home movies, then paint in broad strokes, the plight of small town west Texas, as tumbleweeds roll.
There are certainly other films that take Six Man football as there basic theme, but none that centers so personally, as this one does. There is an integrity to this film that is refreshing. The coaches as well as the townspeople who are interviewed, give a clear sense of the commitment and sometimes heartache, associated with west Texas life.
