Not knowing ANYTHING about the story, the game nor ANYTHING else about this movie I went to see it. I'm mostly a fan of new things in the movie business since all you see today are remakes and sequels. So, here goes. The3 movie is new. Maybe with characters you have seen in every action movie, but they all fit pretty well with the characters. Set in the future, you wont see laser guns or high technology, but mud, old looking machines and the place and time will mostly remind you of WWII movies. So, the world consists of four great nations fighting one another for the remaining sources of power and in the middle of their never-ending war and battle they get threatened by something that does not make difference between them but just wants to delete the human kind, taking its place. So, as you might think, the enemies are forced to play together and fight this madness that has come upon us and as the movie develops towards the obvious end you'll find yourself more pulled towards the visual effects than the characters or the acting or the story. Yes, you might have heard it and yes, its true- the visuals remind you highly of the ones seen in SKY CAPTAIN: WORLD OF TOMORROW but don't get ahead of yourself cause its no the same, just reminds of
So, the movie has some action, blood, explosions and a great visual background on one hand but it leaks the story and some acting. I'm not saying it sucks but you should first make sure that you'll like it before you see it (just so you don't get disappointed) and you shouldn't if you're one of those that like movies with deep thoughts and a message.
