'Warrick' Headed For Trouble
24 January 2009
Warning: Spoilers
This episode begins with a wild chase through involving a garbage truck spewing paper all over the place. A dead body flies out of the car when the truck finally crashes. When the driver makes a run for it, someone runs him down. Two dead bodies. What's the deal? Actually, the deal turns out to be about "Warrick" (Gary Dourdan) having problems Rumor has it this is his (Gary Dourdan) last season on CSI. If that's true, this episode - the first of a two-part story - could be the beginning of the end, or the end, of this longtime CSI guy. Gee, I hope the program doesn't lose two regulars in one season! "Sara Sidle" (Jorja Fox) left several weeks ago.

Now, Warrick is headed for problems. For those of us who have watched all the episodes (up to this one), seeing Dourdan's character get in trouble reminds me of the first few episodes on this show - literally, the first few, in which Brown had a bad past and "Lt. Brass" (Paul Guilfoyle) did not like him. "Brass" gave him a lot of problems but the two worked it out and have been on the same page all these years since that rocky start.

Warrick is bummed out from his divorce, taking both sleeping pills and now uppers. His buddy, "Nick Stokes" discovers the latest pills and throws them out.

Brown's investigation into the current case, meanwhile, leads him to a stripper named "Candy" (Rebecca Budig) and the old-time Las Vegas boss "Lou Gedda" (John Capodice ). The more Warrick investigates, and takes liberties with Candy trying not only to get answers but to have some extra-curricular fun with her, the more he's getting into trouble. We'll find out exactly how much, I assume,. next week.
