Review of Always Reaching

With the exception of a good and fairly consistent performance by Jennie Sophia, the acting was a bit stiff at times. Despite this and slow pacing that might have been better offset by less clichéd physical acting, the story held my attention and made me want to see every turn of the plot. The dialogue, well-written and believable, also helped to add some depth to the performances. Strong editing, particularly with regard to the carefully timed and placed unfolding of events, went far in successfully presenting this thought-provoking and very human tale. While certainly a complete concept in and of itself, it leaves enough questions to warrant further development toward a longer piece.

I'd like to see more from this team. Well done.
