I remember this cartoon. It aired Saturday mornings with Casper (apparently his theatrical releases assembled into a Saturday morning arrangement, as Bugs and Woody had done), Hardy Boys and Cattanooga Cats.
The only really clear adventure I recall was a river was rising and was threatening to flood the little animal village.
all the animals were comically hysterical until they got Marshall Dillon, I mean Smokey the Bear there and he took charge.
I bought an old comic book and remembered a bit more.
